Beautiful end of summer hike
Demanding high-altitude trail in the Rochers de Naye region with climbs of Merdasson, Rochers de Naye, Grande Chaux de Naye and Dent de Jaman.
From Jaman station (1,724 m) we head southwest, skirting the Merdasson (1,858 m) and then ascending the southeast ridge. Briefly retracing our steps, we head due south to skirt the Rochers de Naye (2,042 m), which we will climb from the east face. The ridge path will then take us to the Grande Chaux de Naye (1,983 m). During the descent to the Col de Bonaudon (1,753 m), the more adventurous can take the Grottes de Naye, before continuing the descent to the Col de Jaman (1,512 m).
The Dent de Jaman (1,875 m) will be the last difficulty of the day, before returning to our starting point, for a well-deserved drink at the Buvette de Jaman.
